The Crimson Blizzard (Kael + Frostfire Requiem)

Kael remains the undisputed king of burst damage, and his signature weapon, the Frostfire Requiem, is the only reason he stays so far ahead of the pack. This build focuses on maximizing Kael’s "Shatter" mechanic, which triggers when an enemy is frozen and then hit with heavy fire damage. The Frostfire Requiem passively increases the crit damage of Shatter by 40% and reduces the cooldown of his ultimate by two turns. You want to build him with maximum Critical Damage, Elemental Mastery, and Attack Percentage substats. In endgame content, a fully built Crimson Blizzard can delete boss health bars in a single rotation, completely bypassing complex mechanics that would otherwise wipe your party.

The Eternal Bulwark (Vesper + Aegis of the Dawn)

In a game where bosses hit harder with every patch, Vesper is the only character that makes entire fight mechanics irrelevant. The Aegis of the Dawn is a heavy shield that converts Vesper’s max HP into a massive barrier for the entire team, and its passive grants immunity to crowd control for the first three turns of combat. This build turns Raven into a sustained DPS monster. Unlike Kael, who relies on bursting enemies down in one turn, Raven excels in long, drawn-out fights where he can stack his bleed effects to devastating levels. Build him with Critical Rate and Attack Speed. He falls slightly behind Kael simply because high-level bosses tend to enrage on timers that favor burst damage over sustained damage, but he is unmatched in general PvE farming.

The Verdant Mender (Sylas + Living Wood Staff)

Sylas is the only pure healer in the game that can compete with Vesper’s defensive utility. The Living Wood Staff provides a passive "Regrowth" effect, meaning Sylas’s heals leave a HoT (Heal over Time) on the target. More importantly, this weapon's unique effect allows Sylas’s heals to crit. Building Sylas requires a delicate balance of Healing Effectiveness and Critical Rate. When built correctly, his crit heals can instantly top off a character from 1% to full health, effectively acting as a second health bar. He is an S-tier pick for beginners but drops to A-tier in the endgame because raw damage mitigation (like Vesper provides) becomes mathematically superior to raw healing.

The Storm Herald (Orion + Thundercrash Hammer)

Orion is a bruiser build that walks the line between damage and defense. The Thundercrash Hammer grants him a stacking Attack buff every time he is hit, rewarding a aggressive playstyle where you intentionally tank hits to power up your own strikes. The Trickster (Felix + Glittering Dagger)

Felix relies on a "RNG" (Random Number Generation) playstyle. The Glittering Dagger has a 15% chance on every hit to instantly reset all of Felix’s cooldowns and double his damage for three seconds. This makes Felix capable of producing the highest damage parses in the game if you get lucky, but he can also produce dismal numbers if the RNG refuses to trigger. He is a fantastic pick for casual, fun gameplay or for speedrunning community challenges where a single lucky break can set a world record. However, for consistent, reliable clears, he belongs firmly in the B-tier niche.

The Frost Archer (Elara + Winter’s Bite Bow)

Elara is a crowd-control specialist. Her build focuses entirely on applying the "Frozen" debuff to multiple enemies at once. The Winter’s Bite Bow increases the area of effect of her ice arrows by 50%. She deals virtually no damage, but she can lock down an entire screen of enemies indefinitely. The Burning Knight (Gareth + Flaming Greatsword)

Gareth was a launch character designed around the "Overheat" mechanic, where attacking builds up heat, and at max heat, his attacks deal fire damage but drain his own health. The concept sounded cool at launch, but the math has never been fixed. The self-damage vastly outweighs the damage output, and the Flaming Greatsword actually increases the self-damage taken by 20%. In a game where healing is limited and bosses hit incredibly hard, a character that kills himself is a massive liability. Do not be fooled by his flashy animations; he is entirely non-viable.

The Time Mage (Chronos + Hourglass of Eternity)

Chronos is meant to be a utility character who slows down enemy action bars. In the early days of Full, this was considered a strong mechanic. However, modern endgame bosses have "Unstoppable" phases where action bar manipulation is disabled. Furthermore, the Hourglass of Eternity reduces Chronos’s own action speed to buff his slow effect, meaning he acts so infrequently that he cannot contribute anything else to the team. Sylas or Vesper will keep your team alive far better than Chronos’s time manipulation ever will.

The Shield Maiden (Clara + Buckler of Hope)

Clara is a weaker, budget version of Vesper. The Buckler of Hope provides a shield, but it only applies to Clara herself and one adjacent ally, whereas Vesper shields the whole team. Additionally, Clara’s shield scales with her Attack stat, forcing you to build her for damage to get a decent shield, which results in a character who deals mediocre damage and provides a mediocre shield. The opportunity cost of building Clara is simply too high when Vesper exists and provides a mathematically superior defensive layer for the entire party.

Building Around Your Picks

Understanding individual builds is only half the battle in Full. The game’s true difficulty lies in synergy—how your chosen builds interact with one another to form a cohesive team. A team of four S-tier characters will actually lose to a well-synergized team of A and B-tier characters if their mechanics clash.

The golden rule of Full team building is the Buffer -> Debuffer -> Burst DPS -> Sustainer framework. You generally want one character whose entire job is to make your team stronger (like Lyra), one character to make the enemy weaker (like Morgath, if his element applies), one character to dump all your accumulated buffs into a massive single strike (like Kael), and one character to keep you alive through the enemy's retaliation (like Vesper).

  • Don't overlap roles: If you bring both Lyra and Sylas, you have too much support and not enough damage. You will survive forever but fail to kill the boss before it enrage.
  • Respect element matching: Kael relies on freezing the enemy before shattering them. If you do not bring a character who can apply a consistent freeze effect (like Elara, despite her B-tier damage ranking), Kael loses 40% of his damage potential. Elara might be B-tier overall, but she is an A-tier staple in a Kael composition.
  • Manage your aggro: Characters like Orion want to be hit to gain buffs, so pair him with Vesper. Vesper’s massive team-wide shield ensures Orion survives the intentional tanking, allowing Orion to safely ramp up his Thundercrash Hammer stacks without dying.
  • Speed tuning is mandatory: In high-level play, the order in which your characters take their turns is more important than their raw stats. You must ensure your buffer (Lyra) acts immediately before your burst DPS (Kael). If an enemy gets a turn between Lyra’s buff and Kael’s attack, the buff might expire or get cleansed, ruining your entire rotation. Use Speed substats and boots to perfectly tune your turn order.

Ultimately, the best build is the one you have the resources to fully upgrade. A fully maxed-out Raven will always outperform a half-upgraded Kael.
