Executive Summary

Navigating the chaotic world of Jujutsu Infinite requires more than just mashing buttons; it demands a deep understanding of cursed techniques, weapon synergies, and the ever-shifting meta. With the March update rolling out, players are scrambling to figure out where to invest their hard-earned spins and resources. This tier list cuts through the noise, providing a definitive ranking of the best characters currently available in the game.

For busy players looking for the absolute quickest takeaway: Gojo (Toji Arc) remains the undisputed king of PvE boss melting, while Sukuna (Incarnated) dictates the PvP landscape. If you are lucky enough to pull either of these units, stop rolling and start building. For everyone else, this guide will help you identify which S-tier alternatives can carry you through endgame content and which niche picks are worth saving for.

Best in Slot

These are the pinnacle of Jujutsu Infinite. Pulling any character in this category fundamentally changes how you experience the game, offering unmatched damage ceilings, unrivaled utility, or game-breaking mechanics that trivialize challenging content.

Gojo (Toji Arc)

When discussing the absolute best character in the game for PvE, the conversation begins and ends with Gojo. His Infinity mechanic acts as a permanent defensive buff, allowing you to facetank boss attacks that would normally one-shot other characters. More importantly, his damage output is astronomical. His Domain Expansion hits multiple times with absurd multipliers, allowing him to chunk down boss health bars in a single cast. He is the ultimate carry, capable of soloing the hardest raids in the game provided you have a basic understanding of his combo strings. If you want to farm efficiently, he is the undisputed Best in Slot.

Sukuna (Incarnated)

While Gojo rules PvE, Sukuna (Incarnated) is the god of PvP. His kit is designed around overwhelming pressure and unbreakable combos. What sets this version of Sukuna apart is his enhanced Cleave and Dismantle abilities, which bypass a significant portion of enemy defense stats. In PvP, landing a single clean hit with Sukuna often results in a full combo that takes the opponent from 100% to zero. His agility is top-tier, making it incredibly difficult for slower characters to retaliate. If your primary goal is climbing the ranked leaderboards and dominating other players, Sukuna is your Best in Slot.

Yuta Okkotsu

Yuta fills a unique role as a hybrid damage dealer and tank, largely thanks to Rika. In the March meta, survivability is just as important as damage, and Yuta excels at both. Rika acts as an autonomous shield and supplementary damage source, meaning even if you drop your combo, Rika is actively punishing your opponent or whittling down a boss. Yuta’s cursed energy regeneration is also among the highest in the game, allowing him to spam his heavy abilities much faster than his peers. He is a remarkably safe pick that performs exceptionally well in both PvE and PvP.

Solid Choices

Characters in this tier are highly competent and can comfortably clear all endgame content. They might lack the absolute brokenness of the Best in Slot picks, but they are reliable, powerful, and form the backbone of many successful teams.

Megumi Fushiguro (Awakened)

Awakened Megumi represents a massive power spike compared to his base form. His Divine Dogs now apply a stacking bleed effect that does percent-based damage over time. In prolonged fights against high-health bosses, this bleed effect contributes a staggering amount of passive damage. Furthermore, his Chimera Shadow Garden ability provides excellent crowd control, giving you breathing room to heal or reposition. He requires slightly more mechanical skill to play optimally compared to Gojo, but the payout is absolutely worth it.

Hakari Kinji

Hakari is the gambler’s choice. His entire kit revolves around his Domain Expansion, which triggers a jackpot system. When he hits the jackpot, Hakari receives an unparalleled boost to his attack speed, cursed energy regeneration, and damage reduction. During this window, Hakari’s DPS rivals even Gojo. The reason he is in A-tier rather than S-tier is simply due to inconsistency. If the RNG gods frown upon you, you might go an entire fight without hitting a jackpot, leaving you with a highly mediocre kit. However, when the odds are in your favor, Hakari is a monster.

Maki Zenin

Maki is an anomaly in Jujutsu Infinite because she completely ignores cursed energy mechanics. She possesses zero cursed energy but compensates with the highest base physical attack stats in the game and blistering attack speed. She is the ultimate counter to characters with cursed energy shielding, as her strikes bypass those defenses entirely. In a meta dominated by defensive buffs, Maki’s sheer, unmitigated physical damage makes her incredibly valuable. She is slightly squishy, requiring careful dodging, but her damage output is incredibly consistent.

  • Awakened Megumi is your go-to for sustained, percentage-based boss damage.
  • Hakari is perfect for players who enjoy high-risk, high-reward gameplay with explosive DPS ceilings.
  • Maki is the ideal counter-pick in PvP against heavy-shielding opponents.

Niche Picks

B-tier characters are not bad by any means; they are simply outclassed in the general meta but possess specific traits that make them invaluable in highly particular situations. You should only invest heavily in these characters if you have a specific strategy in mind.

Nobara Kugisaki

Nobara’s primary value comes from her Hairpin ability, which applies a lethal resonance effect. Against standard mobs, she is perfectly fine, but against endgame bosses, her damage falls off compared to S and A-tier units. However, she absolutely hard-counters any boss or player that relies on rapid teleportation or dash mechanics. When a highly mobile target dashes through her hairpin, the resonance damage is multiplied drastically. If you are struggling with a specific hyper-mobile boss, bringing Nobara along will turn the tide effortlessly.

Todo Aoi

Todo is entirely reliant on his signature Boogie Woogie technique, which allows him to swap positions with a target or ally. On paper, this seems like a gimmick, but in coordinated PvP, a skilled Todo player is a nightmare. He can instantly swap an aggressive enemy into the middle of your team’s combined Domain Expansions or instantly pull a low-health ally out of danger. He deals virtually no damage on his own, making him a pure utility pick. You only use Todo if you are playing with friends and communicating over voice chat.

Naobito Zenin

Naobito excels at one very specific thing: moving fast. His Projection Sorcery makes him incredibly difficult to hit, and his quick strike combos can stunlock standard enemies with ease. The problem arises when you fight bosses with super-armor, a mechanic introduced in the March update that prevents stunlocking. Because Naobito’s value is tied entirely to his ability to lock enemies down, super-armor bosses completely invalidate his kit. He is fantastic for speedrunning lower-level dungeons, but useless in the true endgame.

Underperformers

These are the characters you should actively avoid investing in. Whether due to outdated kits, terrible stat scaling, or mechanics that simply do not function well within the game's current engine, these units will leave you frustrated.

Yoshino Junpei

It pains fans of the series to see him here, but Yoshino is in a terrible spot. His entire gimmick revolves around setting up slow-moving clouds of lethargic cursed energy. In a game where bosses aggressively chase you down and players can dash across the map in a second, Yoshino’s setups are easily avoided. Even if you manage to trap an enemy, the damage output is shockingly low. He requires too much setup time for too little payoff, making him the worst rare character in the current meta.

Base Megumi Fushiguro

Unlike his Awakened counterpart, Base Megumi suffers from severe damage scaling issues. Late-game enemies have massive health pools, and Base Megumi’s basic Divine Dogs simply cannot output enough damage to matter. His Domain Expansion, Chimera Shadow Garden, has a long cast time that leaves him vulnerable, and the demons he summons deal negligible damage. Do not waste your upgrade materials on Base Megumi; hold out for his Awakened form or play someone else entirely.

Principal Gakuganji

Gakuganji relies on a slow, instrument-based cursed technique that focuses on wide, sweeping attacks. While the area of effect is decent, the wind-up time is agonizingly slow. In the time it takes Gakuganji to cast one of his heavy attacks, characters like Maki or Sukuna can complete full combos. His utility is zero, and his damage is middle-of-the-pack at best. He is a classic example of a character designed around a cool anime concept that simply does not translate well to a fast-paced action-RPG environment.

Building Around Your Picks

Having a top-tier character is only half the battle in Jujutsu Infinite. To truly maximize their potential, you need to build synergistic weapon loadouts and understand how to position them in team compositions.

For your primary weapon, always prioritize the weapon that enhances your character's specific cursed trait. For instance, if you are running Gojo or Sukuna, you should be using the Cursed Blade or the Inverted Spear. The Cursed Blade adds a flat percentage of cursed technique damage to every strike, which exponentially increases the damage of Domain Expansions. The Inverted Spear, on the other hand, is essential for PvP builds as it allows your melee attacks to temporarily nullify enemy cursed techniques, giving you the opening you need to start a combo.

If you are running a physical damage dealer like Maki, ignore cursed weapons entirely. Instead, equip the Playful Cloud. This weapon scales off your physical strength stat and applies a knockback effect on every third hit, giving you infinite combo potential against players who fail to tech out of your strikes.

When it comes to team compositions for raids or PvP, the golden rule of the March meta is the Hyper-Carry setup. You do not need a team full of S-tier characters to win. Instead, invest all your best armor and weapons into one S-tier character (like Gojo or Sukuna), and fill the remaining two slots with dedicated supports. Shoko Ieiri is currently the best support in the game, as her reverse cursed technique provides massive, instant healing. Pair her with a character like Todo (for utility) or Nobara (for debuffing), and your hyper-carry will be practically unkillable while dealing maximum damage.

Finally, pay attention to your stat points. Many new players make the mistake of evenly distributing stats across the board. This is a trap. Identify your character's primary damage source and dump at least 80% of your stat points into it. Cursed technique users should max out Cursed Power and Cursed Energy Control. Physical attackers should heavily invest in Strength and Agility. Specialization is the key to pushing your damage into the millions, ensuring that your time spent grinding is as efficient as possible.
